DOGWOOD SPRING
Underwater spring
Just downstream from the origin of Planer Branch, a tributary of the Bryant Creek, is our very own Dogwood Spring. Cool water flows seasonally across an incredible flat rock shelf into the spring pool. A Bison Viewing Area, a picnic table and trails are all found at this natural site. A short hike from camp down Pond Loop Trail takes you right to this seasonal waterfall and bison corrals.
Features: Bison Viewing Area, Water, Picnic Table
ALSO great location for our luxury picnics!
BIG ROCK SPRING
All-year underwater spring
Just under two miles from camp is an incredible gushing natural spring flowing out of the hillside rocks. The hike is worth the work when you feel the cool of the water and take in the American history of the pre-Civil War mill site. The cold water pool grows water cress and draws local deer, bobcats and bear to drink and cool off from the summer heat. This is a breath-taking site and we hope you get a chance to enjoy it!
Features: Natural all-year spring, Pre-Civil War Mill Site

PLANER BRANCH
Tributary to the Bryant Creek
A pleasantly short, but incline hike from the automobile parking in Deer Pond Field leads you to a private oasis of centuries-old moss and evergreen habitat that supports the beginning point of Planer Branch, a tributary to the Bryant Creek that runs through our Ranch and supports our beautiful ecosystem.
Features: Seasonal spring water, Natural Rock waterway channels
